Partial Tuition Waiver Information
The Department of Mathematics has the opportunity to offer an undergraduate partial tuition waiver each year when money is available from the College of Science. This money has been designated by the Board of Trustees to assist students who have attained high levels of academic achievement.
Please review the undergraduate student requirements below before filling out an application. Return the application to the Mathematics Department (Neckers A 360) in care of Mary Wright. We are requesting that all applications be turned in by the 3rd week of fall semester classes.
Requirements
- You must be coded in the College of Science, majoring in Mathematics. Applicants coded in another unit are not eligible.
- You must have at least a 3.0 GPA in your mathematics courses in the semester you are applying.
- Recipients must enroll for a minimum of 12 credit hours each for fall or spring semesters. The Tuition Waiver will be revoked should enrollment fall below the minimum stated above at any time during the semester or if the recipient leaves the College of Science.
- Tuition Waivers may be reapplied for the following fall and spring semester, depending on available financial resources of the college.
Application Form
- We are using the College of Science application form. If you deliver it to the College of Science, they will forward it to us in the Department of Mathematics.
- Our deadline is later than March 1st of the year previous to the award.
