I am always very glad to talk with students about the possibility of undergraduate or graduate research projects. Come and see me if you're interested.

I am currently working on computable model theory. Some of my most recent preprints are listed below. Other preprints may be found here.

  • "Metric structures and probabilistic computation," Theoretical Computer Science 412 (2011), 2766--2755. pdf
  • "Probabilistic computation and stochastic differential equations," submitted to Annals of Pure and Applied Logic, September 2009. pdf
  • "Degrees of isomorphism types of geometric objects," with V. Harizanov and A. Shlapentokh, submitted to Computability, October 2011. pdf
  • "The distance function on a computable graph," with R. Miller and J. Chubb Reimann, October 2011. pdf
  • I am currently participating in Monroe-Randolph Mathematics Connections, a professional development project for middle school mathematics teachers using the Intel Math curriculum. I have also been involved in other K-8 STEM education professional development programs. I am available for separately arranged professional development programs. Contact me if you are interested in arranging something for your school.

  • I also worked in several service capacities while a graduate student at Notre Dame in the academic years 2000-2005. Information on some of these activities may be found here.
