Research Interests

Optimization theory; numerical analysis; and applied Mathematics. More specifically, the solution of deterministic and stochastic constrained problems in the calculus of variations and optimal control theory by efficient analytical and numerical methods.

  1. Constrained Optimization in the Calculus of Variations and Optimal Control Theory. This graduate level textbook-research monograph appeared in March 1992 in the Van Nostrand Reinhold Series in Applied Mathematics.
  2. An Introduction to Numerical Analysis. This junior level textbook appeared in 1994 by the Bartlett and Jones Compnay.
