I am teaching Math 419 (Introduction to Galois Theory) in the spring of 2004.
We will use a text by J. Rotman on Galois theory. Secondary texts will include Garling's, Escofier's, and Morandi's books on the subject.

UPDATE (21 Apr 04): The lecture notes for each section through "Independence of Characters" is now available. Complete information about the final exam is now also available.
Announcement (posted 09 Feb 04): Beginning today, we will meet in Neckers 356 rather than WHAM 328.
