Homework 4

Solve the following problems.

Problem Set 4, problems: 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11(a), 13 (i) and 13(ii).

You can do almost all of these problems using MATLAB. If you will decide to do so, please turn in a printout of your MATLAB session. Make sure that your name, problem number and a numerical output are all included. Here is a sample:

Remark

• To solve problems # 5 and 6 you may wish to write a small function x = uls(A, b) which computes the minimum norm solution x of the underdetermined linear system Ax = b. Check your lecture notes for details.
