TEMPLATE FILES FOR

RESEARCH PAPERS, THESES, AND DISSERTATIONS

LaTeX2e Thesis Template Files

Download template06.zip. When you open this file on your disk it will expand out so each file (described below) is available for you to use. Sample File shows formatting.

The Thesis Template is made up of the following 22 sample files. These files provide the formatting already approved by the SIUC Graduate School. Included are some basic instructions and examples.

siugrad50.cls Class file (style file) that defines commands according to approved guidelines. Changes to this file are not recommended.

Samples of formatting and hints are in each of the following files. Just delete the pages/parts you don't want and add your own text. As soon as you make changes to these files, be sure to save them under a new name, preferably something that identifies them as yours.

Be sure to save your files on a floppy or zip disk. Plan to have a 2nd disk as a backup of your work. Keep these disks in separate locations.
